I routinely drive the Savage on the interstate. My work involves driving about 2.5 hours to another city at least once a week. That makes a five hour round trip. The Savage does very well at 70 mph, but I must admit that the addition of a small windshield made the bike MUCH more stable at road speed. I've done the "white spacer" modification, and have a SuperTrapp installed. Since these modification I've noticed that the bike runs cooler at road speed. I think the original factory tuning was so lean that an undue abmout of heat was created.
